Who are the Gastivists and what are we doing?

What is the Gastivists Collective?

For the moment, we are a small team of motivated people, located in different countries, active in different climate and oppression related struggles, looking forward to get in touch with and support grassroots groups resisting gas infrastructure in their areas.

What is the Gastivists Network?

We are a small but growing Network that is engaged in the fight against gas, we are gas-tivists.

What is our purpose?

Our aim is to support grassroots groups who fight new gas infrastructure, facilitate the flow of information between NGOs and local groups, connect people and help build a movement that will stop gas and bring an energy transition. Yep, just that.

How do we do it?

We share information via our Newsletter, Facebook and Twitter, we organise (face-to-face) gatherings, we give workshops on gas, we speak up against gas at (international) meetings. This is just a start – do let us know if you have any ideas or if there are ways we could directly support you.

What is our vision?

A world that is powered by community-owned renewable energy sources, that is just to its energy workers and that has overcome racial, gender and class discrimination.

How you can get involved?

Find here some ideas on how to join the network, how to help very concretely, or how to meet uns in person in one of our activities: Get involved.
